1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how JustChat handles personal data when you use anonymous chat, account and friend features, profiles, Gem purchases, virtual gifts, reward or monetization features, support, and related services.
Some JustChat functionality is designed to let people communicate without immediately revealing their real-world identity. If you voluntarily create an account, become friends, provide profile details, make a payment, request support, or join a monetization program, additional information may be processed as described below.
2. Information We May Collect
Information you provide
- Account or profile information you choose to provide, such as display name, name revealed through friend features, profile image, preferences, or other profile fields.
- Friend requests, friend relationships, block/report actions, and related account settings.
- Purchase information such as Gem package, amount, transaction status, payment-provider reference, and purchase history.
- Virtual gift activity, including sender, recipient, gift type, value, timestamps, and resulting reward entries.
- Support requests and information you voluntarily include in them.
- Where monetization is enabled: identity/KYC information, PAN or tax information where applicable, bank-account details or payout identifiers, eligibility records, and signed program agreements.
Information collected automatically
- IP address, device/browser information, operating system, approximate location derived from network information, timestamps, referral information, and security logs.
- Session identifiers, cookies or similar technologies necessary for login, preferences, fraud prevention, analytics, and service operation.
3. Chat Privacy
Technical systems may still process message data transiently as necessary to deliver real-time communication. Metadata needed for security, abuse prevention, connection management, or legal compliance may be handled separately from chat content.
Information you voluntarily disclose to another user is received by that user. JustChat cannot control what another user remembers, copies, screenshots, or shares outside the platform, so please avoid disclosing sensitive information to strangers.
4. How We Use Information
- Provide anonymous matching, account, profile, friend, gifting, and reward features.
- Authenticate users and maintain sessions where account features are used.
- Process purchases, credit Gems, deliver gifts, calculate eligible rewards, and maintain transaction records.
- Operate monetization, KYC, fraud review, tax/compliance, and payout processes where enabled.
- Prevent spam, abuse, account takeover, payment fraud, reward manipulation, and other prohibited activity.
- Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
- Measure performance, diagnose errors, and improve product usability and reliability.
- Meet legal, regulatory, accounting, payment-provider, or law-enforcement obligations where applicable.
5. Payment Information
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Razorpay. JustChat generally receives transaction details and status information needed to credit your purchase and reconcile payments. Full card details, UPI credentials, passwords, and OTPs should be entered only in the authorized payment-provider flow and should never be sent to JustChat support.
6. KYC and Payout Information
If you apply for monetization or cash payouts, JustChat and/or its authorized payment, KYC, banking, or compliance providers may process information necessary to verify identity and payout eligibility. This can include legal name, date of birth or age confirmation, government-issued identification details, PAN or tax details where applicable, bank-account information, verification results, payout history, and fraud/compliance records.
This data is used only for legitimate platform, payment, compliance, security, tax, and payout purposes and is retained as required for those purposes or by applicable law.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including account operation, transaction reconciliation, fraud prevention, dispute handling, tax/accounting, legal obligations, and enforcement of platform rules.
Chat content is handled according to the chat design described above and is not intended to be retained as ordinary conversation history after a chat ends. Payment, gifting, account, reward, safety, and compliance records may need to be retained for longer periods.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the service, which may include encryption, secure sessions, access controls, fraud monitoring, rate limiting, and restricted access to sensitive records. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should also protect their devices and account credentials.
11. Your Choices and Data Rights
Depending on applicable law and the nature of your relationship with JustChat, you may have rights to request access, correction, updating, deletion, withdrawal of consent where processing is consent-based, grievance redressal, or other legally available controls. Some information may need to be retained despite a deletion request where required for legal, security, fraud, accounting, payment, or dispute purposes.
You can also manage profile visibility, friend relationships, blocks, and other privacy controls made available within the service.
12. Age and Safety
Users must satisfy any minimum age requirement displayed by JustChat and applicable law. Paid monetization and payout features may require additional age and identity verification. We encourage users not to share sensitive personal, financial, or identity information with strangers.
13. Service Providers and International Processing
Some infrastructure or service providers may process data from locations outside your state or country. Where cross-border processing occurs, JustChat will take measures required by applicable law and will use service providers appropriate for the relevant function.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our features, data practices, legal requirements, or service providers change. The latest effective date will be shown at the top of the page. Material changes may also be communicated through the service where appropriate.
15. Contact and Grievances
For privacy questions, data-rights requests, or grievances, please use the official support or grievance contact method displayed on JustChat. To protect your account, we may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.
